Title: Featurepics
Post by: nscotta on August 10, 2006, 13:30
Anybody have a portfolio on Feature pics..and if so, any success?  They seem to be very lenient in what they accept (i.e., I have yet to receive a rejection, but just in the beginning phase of building portfolio).

I have over 500 photos and a ****ing direct link to my portfolio on the frontpage for a few days now and no new DL. I don't think they have much traffic.

We need to drive customers to that site from our own as at 70% they can't be beat

Who does have images there and has a website?

As I am thinking of forming a consortium where we have thumbnails of each other popular themes on our sites which link to galleries of most popular images which link to that image at FP. We need a cool name as well "microstock mafia" or something

So for me
Scotland, paris, london, signs

hospitalera
groovy backgrounds
religion

Leaf
Health and beauty
wintersports
etc etc

Obviously we would try to avoid clashes.

Not sure how to do the coding we may have tio have the same html on each site so the host gets their 1.5% and the photographer gets their 70%

anyone remotely interested??

I might set up a demo version and see what y'all think.

I have about 100 images there and just 3 sales, but the earnings were good: US$4.90.  Slow, yes, but they seem to be working on the site and they have just added the resizing option, which I like especially for my high res images that I sell at higher prices.

Adelaide

I have about the same but only 1 sale with a $7 net. I don't know if their accept everything policy is good in the long run. Plus the really low minimum size seems less conducive to designers. I know I'd be annoyed if I found the perfect image and it was only available at 800px.
