Title: FirstCovers.com
Post by: PhotoGirl on September 19, 2013, 22:09
Does anyone know anything about FirstCovers.com? I recognize some stock images on the site. However, their TOS says:

"If you contribute layouts, scripts, graphics, tutorials, creative suggestions, ideas, notes, drawings, images, or other information (collectively, the "Submissions"), the Submissions shall be deemed, and shall remain, the property of FirstCovers.com. None of the Submissions shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of FirstCovers.com, and FirstCovers.com shall not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Submissions. Without limitation of the foregoing, FirstCovers.com shall exclusively own all now known or hereafter existing rights to the Submissions of every kind and nature throughout the universe and shall be entitled to unrestricted use of the Submissions for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without compensation to the provider of the Submissions."

It doesn't look like anyone is getting paid other than firstcovers.com by the advertisers.

Apart from not knowing what a Facebook Cover is, I am not surprised one bit with such an agreement. It will become a standard agreement for anyone ignorant enough to send images to such a site.

I believe that the OP was stating that there is a problem because people are sending stock images that they don't own any rights to.
