Perhaps this is a similar question to who is a full time photographer or not, but none the less I was curious.

The summer is coming and also the possibility of summer holidays for many.  When you have 'holidays' do you shoot more than otherwise, less, or keep shooting like you don't know what a holiday is :)

I shoot proabably about the same, or perhaps get out shooting more often.  I end up working at the computer a lot less though.  Perhaps a holiday for me then is getting away from the computer, or perhaps better stated, doing things in front of the computer and behind the camera that i want to do with no concern if it is going to make me money or not.

About the same for me. I'm in Chicago area for the summer and Mesa AZ for the rest of the year so weather is never a problem.

Much more - the time off my day job can be dedicated full time to photography - shooting, processing and studying/reading. Especially when travelling. Off on Thursday, whoopee!  :D
Barring technical problems  :'(, my cameras will be red hot.

Since I rely on natural light, summer provides more hours for photographing than winter (20 hours of good light in June, 4 hours in December).

But at the same time; there is less time for the camera because of all the work that has to be done in the garden and with the house. Also the children demand more attention when they have holiday from kindergarten.

I just keep going and probably find more opportunities in Summer as I shoot only in natural light.

Most of my free time is taken by 11-month old now :-) For a while my travel days are over but I am still hoping to have vacations this year :-) I wonder how can I have baby carrier, tripod and camera on me at the same time :-)

I probably shoot more but it doesn't mean I submit more.

Ditch the tripod, photograph the baby on the beach. Sorted.  :D

The season doesn't affect me, but the time I take my vacations, which in general is not in summer.

Same here. Although I usually still shoot on vacation when it's convenient.

I definitely shoot a lot more during the summer, but not necessarily for micro. My own freelancing work (fashion shows, editorial, creative photography, etc). We have lots of activity here in Halifax during the summer months , jam packed with lots of festivals. I never shot anything for micro the first 2 years here since moving from action packed yearround Montreal. This year, I am looking for photo ops in editorial stuff , as I completely missed the chance not knowing that Alamy does well in editorials. As for micro, most of my work there is isolated food , which I mostly do during the winter months when my freelance work stops , I get shut indoors (hate the winter), or travel abroad to escape the winter. The latter also will mean more new travel shots for micro, although I don't think I am too keen to sell any more of my travel work with sites pushing subs.
