Why? I'm not a US government agency?

Guess it is interesting that
a. data is going back to china and
b. that any drone can be restricted or hold to the ground through no-fly zones or remote restrictions?

Data might be going back to China or someone else.
No fly zones make sense with some idiots who think flying over a commercial airport is cool. But the story says nothing about that, just grounding UAV or UAS designed in China. The grounding is by choice.
So I'm still wondering why this is of interest to all drone users?
