How have Fotolia sales been for anyone?  I've been submitting there for about a month and have over a 100 images.  Still not a single sale.  I've noticed that different sites cater to different buyers.  What kind of stock does well at Fotolia?  They also promised $0.20 for every accepted image in Feburary.  I have several images that were accepted and my balance still shows $0.00.  Has anyone received the promised reward?

I've had the same trouble with them.  Not only have I had no sales, I've had very few views.  And, they take FOREVER to review submissions, rejecting photos that are my best sellers at Shutterstock.  BTW, have you noticed Shutterstock is taking longer to review files again?

Same issue here.  I checked the views and they are very very few.  I generate a lot more views from even small sites like Featurepics.  I guess their push to increase their number of images also spread out the sales significantly.  I'm sure they will slowly increase their sales level too, but we probably won't see much action from them for quite some time.

I have found fotolia pretty good actually.
Their february and january rewards program have also been good (just got paid for the feb program 2 days ago)  I think i made over $400 uploading photos in jan, and $50 in februrary.

I generally get 1-5 sales a day at fotolia (the last 14 day average is $2.24/day), however I also have quite a few images there.  They are way bettern than for example canstock, or any of the other new sites though (for me in any case)

What kinds of stuff do you have there?  What sells?  How many images have you uploaded?

This will end the annoying question part of your day.

Well if you go to the interviews he has his fotolia portfolio linked.  He has over 1500 images and gets 1-5 sales a day.  I have 100 images which is means I should get about 2 -10 sales a month.  I'm not even getting that but I'll continue uploading and see what happens.

We would like to know what type of images sale best for you on fotolia.

Okay, now Fotolia won't allow me to add photos.  I've filled out every required field on the submission page, but the "submit and finish" button stays gray.

Anyone else having this problem since they altered the contract this morning?

I uploaded 30 images early this morning by ftp and it will still let me connect so I assume I'm still good.

Hi, I have about 160 images on fotolia, and got about 10 $ the last two month.. But as I look at the statistics, each month slightly more people look at my images.

The site was shut down in the early afternoon.  I went there and for about an hour a message came up saying they are performaining maintanance please come back later.  So obviously they had some hardware failure and was trying to recover.

I've uploaded and had accepted about 125 photo (all in Jan and Feb) and have about $20 in sales.  Very few views so the ratio is fine (just the total is low ;) )

Well, I was very surprised today.  I got 3 sales within a couple of hours.  One was a picture of a kids drawing with crayons and the other two were food shots.

I am surprised too. I have 4 sales, but together with yesterday, and that is including my second extended license  Photo (20$) that means I got 6.66$ out of it. Seems like fotolia becomes more and more profitable..
In the average now about every 12th Photo is extended license. However that means not much, since I have not had that much sales on fotolia and even now only half of the Photos have extended licenses.

has anyone found a way to change the license restrictions on all the images at once, instead of going into each and every image if you want to change the licensing?

Dido, I tried to find a way to do it also.  Couldn't find anything that would allow you to change the licensing on all of your images.

I have not found one too. So everyday I change about 20 Photos so I guess it wont take all to long until I am done.

yeah, i guess that is the option.. i am not sure I can be bothered by changing them all one at a time.  I guess perhaps just my new images will have to be in the new license.

Try e-mailing CS about it.  They might do it for you.

This week the first time Fotolia has the most income for me. It seems to be a steady increase of views on the pictures and of downloads. But probably thats just a real good week for me on fotolia, I guess in the average dt and ss will have more income. But fotolia is coming..

Hi,

First time on this site saw a link in 123rf.

Glad to see people moaning about Fotolia. I managed to upload 200 photo to them during Feb so got my bounty but I get the feeling most of their members are photographers who tried to do the same thing.

Sales are slow though i did earn 11c from my 4 photos in the free section. I never use their ftp option as there is always complaints about it in their forum. though i kept on getting error messages in French this evening trying to upload a few photos but i got there in the end.

I always laugh when they have their "scheduled maintenance" in the afternoon, I don't think so your hardware has crashed. Well hopefully when their image base has caught up with SS and ISP so will their sales though supposedly you can cash out before $100 but they charge you a $1.

I have pretty much submitted all my useable photos to about half a dozen agencies so in the meantime whilst I am waiting for it to stop raining so I take some more does anyone had any sales from

gimmestock
scanstockphotos
stockXpert
featurepics

I have heard of the first two someone was complaining they had no sales in 5 months. If anyone has any referal links for those four they can e-mail me so at least someone makes a few $$.

I have written a short guide from my experiences with Stock agencies so far which can be found at

www.fintastique.com/guide.com

Not too much info on SS as they flunked me for 10 sample photos and despite having portfolios with ISP,DT,CanStockPhoto,123 + Fotolio they still think i need to wait the full three months.

Sorry I should have made about three different posts with that lot.

I know you were interested in changing all of your images to include a Extended RF license at Fotolia.  I e-mailed customer service and asked them if they would change all of my images for me and told them to make them all 15 points.  They responded with

03/27/2006 ok we will do this for you. It might take a few days.

Best regards,

Fotolia.com team

You have a lot more images than I do.  Best of luck,
Mark
