It seems the photographer is someone from Eyeem, they might have submitted the images under that persons name but it doesnt sound right

Me too, I had the same thing.
I contacted EyeEm and they responded it will take some time for the change to appear.
Maybe they initially submit our pics to partners under one EyeEm name and when the process concludes this changes and credits back to our details.
I am still waiting to see when the change happens with my name attributed to my image.

I just got a response from Alamy, "Our contributors are responsible for the content they supply to us and it is their responsibility to ensure any keywords, captions and other accompanying information related to their images are accurate.
As you are aware these images have been supplied to us by EyeEm. As you have an agreement with them and the images may be available through other platforms they will be best placed to address the issue so please reach out to them directly to resolve this issue. This will ensure that the relevant credit is provided on Alamy as well as any other platforms which the images have been made available to."
I would prefer it to show under Eyeem than a individual who is not the photographer.

If it turns out your work was stolen and if it were me I would sue the person who stole the work. The only way to stop theft is to hit them in the wallet. Hopefully this is not the case.

If it turns out your work was stolen and if it were me I would sue the person who stole the work. The only way to stop theft is to hit them in the wallet. Hopefully this is not the case.

Lets see. 300 dollars an hour for an Attorney that is semiconscious. 600 dollar's an hour for a good lawyer. All you could sue for are damages. At 38 cents per sale if any sold.....The Attorney has a good business.

Isn't this some sort of partner deal between EyeEm and Alamy? A partner deal gone horribly wrong - if you contribute to both Alamy and EyeEm.
The major problem I see as a contributor to both Alamy and EyeEm is that I am now competing with myself (although given that EyeEm has let Getty butcher the keywords I entered, it's unlikely the EyeEm version will be found!) and an image I took is credited to this mystery person who had nothing to do with it.

This is just one example. I think everything I have on EyeEm that was selected for the partner collection will be there. I have written to EyeEm to ask them to get the duplicate images eliminated from their uploads to Alamy. If they can't or won't do that, I'll close my account at EyeEm. The Getty sales (the other partner site I know of) are of late not worth much, so it's an easy choice.
Looking at what Alamy has, there are 498,909 photos listed if you click on the contributor name EyeEm:

I could solve this by closing my account at EyeEm as it's really not bringing in much any more, but it's just crazy that Alamy didn't weed out duplicates. I knows what they are as the "Similar" photos link shows my photo for the EyeEm photo's similar.

I think the best option for agencies would be to include a opt in tab cos surely you dont want your images duplicated.

It's not something they seem to do.
A few months back I did a particular search and in the very first page were 6 images each repeated four times. I checked and each of the four was one direct submission by the tog and three pics uploaded by three partner agencies. So he had a 3 in 4 chance of having his earnings split by a partner.
What ruffled my feathers more was these were all on the first page of a multi-page search result (and mine were all below them!)

So the answer is, this is EyeEm uploading with images credited to Adam Kuylenstierna and EyeEm. Thanks for the warning, if I'd ever be desperate enough to upload anything to EyeEm, now I won't be interested in competing with myself. >:(
Or I suppose anyone who thinks about it, never upload anything to EyeEm that's on Alamy? 8)

EyeEm's response to me this morning is that the incorrect credit for the photos is a mistake and should be "fixed next week".
Regarding duplication, "...this is your responsibility to make sure that you do not upload the duplicate images, since we do not check if that image is already on the Partner platform before distributing it."!!
EyeEm clearly isn't thinking about this. As I don't know who they will upload to, how can I possibly do that? And when I uploaded the image to EyeEm, they weren't partnering with Alamy.
In addition, there are images that are not on all sites - so when they upload to Getty, that's fine (as I have nothing there) but not on Alamy.
From a technical point of view, Alamy is the one who can weed out duplicates on its platform - using their find similars technology - but that needs to be part of the partner agreement EyeEm makes with them.

Having duplicates doesn’t affect their bottom line ... it doubles their chances of selling an image. That’s why they don’t want to be bothered checking for duplicates, and instead, pass the buck back to you. You don’t like it? You fix it!
All of your points are valid. Contributors have no clue where they are sending stuff. They want to be as covert about that, as they do about earnings. 😡
