Hi all,
Anyone that is submitting to Geckostock getting downloads?
I have submitted many and many have been accepted yet no downloads. Any comments?

I've stopped uploading for the time being. I haven't had a photo reviewed in many, many weeks, and have three times as many photos waiting for review as in my portfolio. And no sales.

Interesting it seems they review my almost as fast as they go up. Yet no sales.

Same here, reviews are very fast, almost everything is accepted, but no sales yet.

Ha ha... it's me. I can't read instructions. Didn't submit images for approval  ;D

reviews are fast, no downloads, but they still only have 30000 images so not a lot and a long way to go.

I still upload but haven't had time to go back and hit submit on each image, and so now have 450 images waiting and really wondering if it is worth my time to do so.  I wish they had a upload system like 123rf or lo where you didn't have to bring up each image.

EDIT: Richard has seen this and emailed me and pointed out that there is a send all to approval button (doh!) this is great as I like the site and now I have that 2 minutes to process a batch like LO etc.  I still think it is going to be long haul until they get more people submitting, but hopefully it will get there as the few times I have dealt with Richard he has been very friendly and being UK based they may be able to hit other markets from the others at least to some extent.

Upload (FTP) simple and fast: no categories. Submit all images with just one mouseclick. Reviews superfast. The only factor slowing down the submit process is that you have to bring up each shot individually to attach a MRF: no bulk attach of MRF's. Site very well programmed and stable. If 1 programmer can get that kind of performance on a beginning site, I wonder where Snapvillage hires its programmers (Microsoft?).

Although I have a shot on the general landing page (there is only one), no DLs yet. With 40K shots (5000 from Andresr) that are also probably on older established sites with 10-50 times GK's number of images, it will be a very hard job for Richard to get by, imho.

I had two last month (it's in another thread), the same image twice in the same day, first in small then in large - I guess the buyer "tasted" it and then returned.

8633 views, no sales :(

I'm giving them a bit longer, as there is no effort to upload. I *think* (dont really know) they are stuck with not enough contributors to be able to market etc, so whether they can get past this I dont know.

Personally I would question the business sense of anyone who decides to launch a professional stock image site and call it 'gecko'.

I can understand the reasoning behind 'pro', 'big', 'xpert' etc.  But 'gecko'?

Even worse is that there appears to be TWO of them........
