Author Topic: HOW TO UNTICK Dreamstime EXCLUSIVE BOX...? (Read 5505 times)

for some reason some of my images on my Dreamstime portfolio are ticked as EXCLUSIVE to Dreamstime. Yet none of my images in my portfolio are exclusive. So I try and untick them and it is just shadowed in not allowing me to untick them....

anyone know how to untick them so they are not considered exclusive to Dreamstime? I dont want it to cause me problems with other agencies or Dreamstime.

I have written Dreamstime 3 times over the last 6 months and they have not written me back

How frustrating that must be. I see that I can go to the Management Area, Online Files, select an image and check the box for exclusive, for my images that are not exclusive. I didn't want to check it as exclusive to test it, then not be able to go back and uncheck and be in your same situation. I don't know why they wouldn't want you to uncheck the box...well, actually, now that I type it, I guess I can see why they would want to trap the image exclusively to them. But it sure isn't right. As far as a response back in email...that's a whole nuther issue.

they replied back!

they are helping me handle the matter

they said it takes 30 days to unexclusive them

I had this too with one of my images - and I don't remember checking this check box, ever. Perhaps I did it by accident, I don't know.

I simply disabled the image. It took effect immediately, as far as I can tell.

But if u disable the image, the image is offline, is that what you wanted?

@anc We used to be able to change the status of our images back and forth, now we can only make them exclusive and if we want them to be non-exclusive we just write and say please make the images non-exclusive in 30 days. Also check the images after the 30 days are up, I usually have to send them a reminder email after the 30 days.
