I cant believe it! nothing seam to work nowdays with Getty, etc,  not even filling in their new contract thingy works. Servers are full up or doesnt work, I must have filled in this idiotic W8 form a thousand times over the years and STILL, this super-paranoid institution called the IRS want a new one. What do they do with all the old ones?
Oh I see, they use them for roll-ups, weed? perhaps.

F-cking idiots.

If you've got to the bit where you need to tick the boxes and then 'electronically' sign it but the area to sign doesn't show up then just wait a bit, same thing happened to me I kept checking I'd ticked all the right boxes and then all of a sudden the signature box appeared! I guess it takes a while to load but doesn't show a loading icon or something like that.

Is this potentially an issue related to the massive and extra-ordinary outage which has affected services hosted via Amazon EC2 infrastructure over the past week or so ? There was an email from Getty about contributor services being affected.

If so lots of companies and large parts of the internet have been affected.

Yes I also read something like that!  but then they have to extend the expiring date beyond the 30th of April. What bugs me is this same old IRS crap from non US citizens, W8 this and W( that, no wonder the only thing they could pin on Capone was tax-evasion, the rest they didnt have the brains for.

Yes, but if we don't take money from you, how will we ever pay for all the tax breaks for millionaires? We all have to pull together to help these poor souls get through these difficult times. To paraphrase Lloyd Blankfein of Goldman Sachs, the bankers are doing "God's Work", and if they need a little extra money from us, the IRS will be happy to help!   ;D

I had some timeout problems using Firefox which Getty sites don't seem to like. I switched to IE and had no problems with the contract. The one confusing part was having to scroll down through the agreement in order to get some of the next-step functionality to show up.
