Title: Getty & Stipple deal
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on October 14, 2013, 20:53
Stipple have made a deal with Getty as per the link below.

"Plus, publishers share in the revenue from advertising campaigns sold by Stipple."
What does this mean for contributors? If I understand it correctly, it seems everybody but the photog will be making money off this branding deal.

It looks like a Getty Connect program.

We might make the odd $0.0001 :)  I still can't believe the lack of discussion about the Connect program here.  It was a big reason why I removed all my best images from istock.  I don't really want to get involved in an experiment where it looks like I would get less than 20% of very little.

The Connect deals have the problem that we never really know the deal details.

This deal apears to be for using in advertising and only for editorial images, should be a good deal for selling editorial pictures ... but comming from Getty we never know.
