they're offering a turn-key web site for a pittance including access to 28000 stock images ?
but where are these images coming from ? a bulk deal with micro agencies i guess, or .. ?
is it legal ? do you need an EL for that ?

If some agency decided that they wanted to get money by brokering some sort of deal with GoDaddy, then it would be possible without ELs, and probably the image suppliers got a one off smaller payment as has already happened with some iStock dodgy deals. No doubt the legalese is well hidden in the artist contract.
You could contact GoDaddy and ask where they got the images. There are possibilities other than existing agencies.

Seems like you've hit it. The ability to use these 28,000 images included with GoDaddy sitebuilder. Maybe someone who has an account can look and see what they are? Does FT have 28,000 "free" images in their collection? They don't have mine!

You'd think when iStock do deals like this, they might tell their contributors about it, explaining what recompense they got. At the very least, to stop suppliers charging after GoDaddy with DMCAs.
In theory, I suppose it could be wholly-owned content; but if so I'm sure they'd be calling them Getty images, as more people have heard of Getty.
Is there a way to see the photos? If I were potentially signing up there I'd want to know if the 'free photos' would be any use to me personally.

I manage our school fair's godaddy account and yes, I did see stock pics available for use, yes, FT from memory. not sure how many as I don't use stock pics for the site.
