Title: Good Companies To Start With?
Post by: NathansBackgrounds on February 01, 2016, 12:45
I'm basically still starting out and was wondering which sites tend to have lower rejection rates which might be a good place for beginners to start? Thanks.

Start with IS, SS and FT. Trough rejections you are learning the business.

I think it my vary by what kind of stuff you shoot.  Each market has its little quirks.  I went exclusive with DT at first because I was able to get more files accepted there and they would actually sell sometimes.   I was pretty happy with them, but recently left exclusivity to broaden my distribution base.  SS is paying off nicely for me at the moment.

In many ways the opposite may be true although it may be disheartening but you will learn faster from tougher sites....unfortunately though I'm not sure any of the sites are consistent in their feedback to be as helpful as they once were

So you're looking for 123rf. I had zero rejection at that site. But try to learn microstock in SS, FT and IS

There are no good agencies longer, if they ever were good!

Fotolia seems to be on the rise ... having a couple quarters rolling in is good motivation ... I guess ...

No, I have not stopped the upload. But it's just disappointing that agencies do not keep their promises. Do you remember - Shutterstock guaranteed shares for referrals for the whole lifetime. And then- Bang !. 123RF changed to the credit scheme and no one can ever reach the highest level. Fotolia introduced the $ 1-Club. And so on. Somehow Stock photography is boring, always the same clean motifs, the same imagery, everything repeats itself. While I take pictures for myself, I always think, could I upload this to Shutterstock? It develops to a creative bondage!
