Google is removing the view image option from searches and directing traffic to the image source. Sounds like a fairly minor change that could boost traffic to stock and portfolio sites pretty significantly.

So, I guess Getty was serious about what they said. Not as good as it used to be though.

Wait and see. Here's the first thread here about the same. http://www.microstockgroup.com/general-stock-discussion/getty-images-partners-google-for-multi-year-global-licensing-partnership/

It's the "global strategic partnership" part that worries me.

When an agency does not give complete details about a change it usually means we're screwed.

Me too

Honestly, I think the things that Google does are way more important than what these stock art companies do.

If Google ever go into a real partnership with a stock company then the market will be completely transformed. In the mean time I don't think this will achieve much...social media etc already full of work arounds....think it was just a crumb to allow Getty to save face........

Better late than never. But they're solving a problem that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Google.

Google, the big corporate mammoth; you can't live with it and you can't live without it.
