I had a sale on Fine Art America the other day. When I checked the website, I found out there is an option to sell stock images through them on Pixels.com. You can set your own prices. Anyone had any luck with this site?

One, many years ago when I had a lot of images there, made me five dollars.

Was that a stock image or a physical print sale? I've had physical print sales on occasion, some of which were pretty lucrative. It's the stock I'm wondering about.

They tried to get into the stock licensing business. It made me one license ages ago & nothing since.

For me it's up to AS and P5 first to show what they are truly worth and if that doesn't work out then we can use Pixels or Symbio and take matters in our own hands.
We can create our own license amongst many other things on these platforms and there are plenty of people here that have the required skills. We could even make a guide here on how to set up the license (or share them), set up prices and keep it fair, etc....
For vectors and videos though we only have Symbiostock since Pixels does not support those.
Just a few people moving to Pixels or Symbiostock won't make a difference and your earnings will not improve. It's only if we all go together that we can make a change.
I think most of us are "trying" to focus on Adobe and P5 first and see where that goes.

Stock yes, not looked in long while, but you could set the prices on a whole range of parameters.

Yup could work mate, for sure! This might even be the only way forward but I do suggest to give it some time. I'm not looking to join others anytime soon, at least not until I see how all this plays out.

Your level of success would be directly tied to your ability to attract buyers to your images. The harder you work, the luckier you are.

Think of Pixels as a print on demand site, not a stock agency. Will people buy coffee mugs, towels, bags or prints for their walls from your photos? Sell art online... and they are not known for doing much marketing, you need to promote yourself much more than stock.
Pixels is pretty much a mirror of FAA and you can get a personalized looking website along with it. There aren't many ways to adjust or organize, outside of their design.
As they put it: Pixels is the premier online marketplace for buying and selling original art, prints, home decor, apparel, and more.
Not saying it's a bad idea and maybe I'll try when I have some time, just pointing out what the site really is and does. Print on Demand.
