right, i have never really had much of an interest in shooting people, though i have recently been asked to help out my friends other half with some modeling/ dance portfolio shots,
Being a good friend i havn't asked for any money (and the fact that i havnt touched a studio scenario since college 4 years ago so will be a bit rusty) i have asked in return that i can have a model release so i can also post them on stock which she's fine with.
So, i have a model release etc but do i need to get a scan of her driving liscence aswell?
any other things i need to do?

Normally you don't need an image of the person to accompany it.
Just fill out what the release says (assuming you have a good release).

On Shutterstock, you need a scan of the model's drivers license if the images are nude or show partial nudity. That is required in order to prove the model is of legal age for that type of image. I don't know if other sites require it or not. On some sites, I've had to embed an image of the model on the release itself. Not a driver's license, just the model's image on the MR.

On Shutterstock, you need a scan of the model's drivers license if the images are nude or show partial nudity. That is required in order to prove the model is of legal age for that type of image. I know you're trying to be funny, but a driver's license, a passport, or another government-issued ID that shows birthdate are required to have nudes accepted. You can shoot whatever the heck you like, depending on local laws.

Only if you want to put them up on Shutterstock (and possibly elsewhere). Otherwise, do as you will.

Because that was what the OP asked about. Any government issued photo I.D. that includes a birth date should be sufficient; although, SS has rejected governmental type I.D.'s before for who-knows what reason.

I just use my old version of the IS release, and sometimes the Stocksy one.

Or google for "Getty model release form". That one is (surprisingly) not branded which some agencies have problems with. ;)

Which I would interpret as putting California under Canadian law and Toronto and Montreal under US law. Yeah, I could see why that would be a problem. That's why I edited mine to say:
I agree that this release is irrevocable, worldwide and perpetual, and will be governed by the laws (excluding the law of conflicts) of the United States of America.

I changed mine to read: "...will be governed by applicable local laws."
Not all models are American.

i put a photo onto all my releases, I'm using one of Yuri's although I changed the formatting slightly.
However, for when you are out and about without a release, use a digital one.
Some (most?) agencies will accept the digital releases, I'm using Top Model which prompts you to take a photo of the model as part of the process, and it emails a pdf to you and the model. pretty nifty.

Seriously? Because that is the same with my releases as they come out of EasyRelease. And I didn't have an agency rejecting any of them. I have a few other issues with DT that keeps me from uploading people images regularly but I didn't run into that one (yet).
