Maybe we should replace the Microstock Poll Results with "Microstock Poll Loser Results"

Not Shutterstock, I think you mean DepositPhotos.

And let's not forget Revostock.

You are guessing wrong:

My dislike hierarchy has only 1 agency:

1. iStock: by a large margin. That 15% revenue share and those 2 cents downloads are an insult, by any standard. Their lack of transparency, with only monthly updates is a major frustration.

How can one even compare them to SS?

My like hierarchy is:
1. Shutterstock: it provides a massive and stable 4 digits monthly revenue.
2. Alamy: best RPD, even if revenues are small.

Of course individuals feel differently.

I was just trying to judge the mood of recent postings. Lots of bad feeling towards Shutterstock.

I suspect the top 3 changes a lot, but iStock is always #4 or above.

And who cares about "like" hierarchies? This forum is all about hate, misery, disappointmnt and broken dreams. It has been for years.

Yup DepositPhotos sound like a bunch of incompetents too.

And it's so nice to see you keeping the hate alive for Revostock.

The impression I got from the other "love to hate" thread was people really don't hate SS like they hate IStock/Getty

Hate is a strong word. Is there a stronger word then hate? I am not sure, English isn't my language. There should be some appropriate scale of words to accurately describe emotions. Would Charles Bronson say "They killed my family, and I hate them more than I hate ShutterStock"?

Right, that's why I used "dislike" instead of "hate" on my post.

Yeah, hate is a word that seem's to be used used way too much these days....the yuth of today either love something or HATE  IT.

Personally, dislike is closer to the truth although I tend to use the word "Annoying", as in they irritate me at times and sometimes they even make decisions that I.... dislike but hate? nah....

Now Storyblocks are being really annoying of late, and they don't sell enough to do that so I am comfortable with making the business decision to remove my work (on 1st Aug). They don't sell enough to loose any sleep over it  ;D

edit, of course they could suddenly triple my earnings and they would become a lot less annoying..... possible mildly irritating.... but I doubt it  :D
