Title: How are non-exclusives doing on IS since the price change?
Post by: Micky_Mango on October 27, 2014, 08:34
I'm starting to seriously review my situation as an exclusive at IS since the price change to 1 and 3 credits. My sales have fallen badly (I have a lot of vectors and those have been particularly badly hit by being promoted to a price point which is too expensive in a lot of cases) I am assuming that the fact that non-exclusives work is 3 times cheaper makes them more desirable and so I am wondering of non-exclusives sales reflect this, or is it just that most of the buyers have gone?

I have mostly vectors there, and my credit earnings have dipped slightly. I'm getting more downloads (or at least, they've evened out a bit), but my vectors now bring in half the amount of money. PP and subs don't seem to be affected. So overall my income there has dropped a little. On the other hand, it's risen at SS and DT—more than enough to cover the loss at iS.

Something strange is happening there.  First three days of last week there were my best days in months.  Thurs and Friday were like a slow weekend.  DoubleyouTF?

Well, talking by myself, I'm okey with the prices for exclusives. I even used to sell more S+ and Vetta when they were even more expensive. If I was interested in selling at any price I wouldn't be exclusive at IS (and yes, I'm already doing that with the IS subs, but there's not opt-out).

Sales are dropping. I think it's not a good change for istock. The royaltie rate is so low too for contributor non exclusive ... almost ridiculous with stupid redeem credit level .. with no chance to get higher % even beeing diamond. In conclusion, istock will suffer from this change as well as contributor, buyer goes elsewhere to buy small photo and non exclusive send their contact buyer to other place to get more royalties.

My overall $$$ have increased this month - most I have ever made - however still not a lot. For example, only 1/10th of SS sales, and about 1/2 of BS. I am only there for the PPs. If it wasn't for PPs, it probably wouldn't be worth uploading to.
