I am a newbie to Stock and I was wondering if vets had some hint on how to improve sales.
The ones I can obviously think of:
1) produce salable images
2) apply proper keywording
What else helps?
Promoting on other website? ( I saw a post of someone who posts on flcker and links to their iStock portfolio)
I don't have enough images produced or accepted yet to make an impact, but I want to plan.

I personally don't see the point of using Flickr to increase sales.
1) people using flickr are photographers already, so not your target market
2) people going to flickr to look for images are possibly going there to steal images.
*not a stock pro but have worked in marketing and pr.

Yep. First buy Rob Sylvan's book;
http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Stock-microstock-creating-photos/dp/0321713079/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1357420368&sr=1-5&keywords=rob+sylvan (http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Stock-microstock-creating-photos/dp/0321713079/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1357420368&sr=1-5&keywords=rob+sylvan)
Then read it and do what it says.

Or not ;)
-
Do everything better - don't lose heart if/when you get rejections
-
Do it opposite.
Dont add keywords to images.
Add images to keywords.
fx these pictures:
child, boy, crying, unhappy, bedroom, alone,
or
boat, new zealand, wave, splash, happy, young woman, sun

Nice idea, JPSDK
