I'm not long enough in this game to know, I just know that it took a while last year for sales to get back to normal levels, Jan was really really slow, nothing really happened before March. This year however, I'm already seeing not just normal sales, but sales that are on level with the best months of the year (Sep-Nov and Mar-May), across the board, FT is only a bit slower than usual (I haven't checked the low earners though) And I haven't uploaded anything since late Nov, nor do I have any holiday images (valentine's day, Easter). OK, I have a series of couple shots, I guess some of those could be used for some Valentine's day projects.

All that being said, I am happy, but surprised at the same time. Especially since IS pushed indie files way back and is now just sprinkling them back into search results (but than again, my sales didn't drop of a cliff at the end of Dec, like it happened to some, I just saw a 30% decline or so)

As I recall it is the second or third month in January before sales pick back up.  I hope so anyway, because my sales are still pretty bad.  Feels like the holidays aren't over yet.

Glad to hear you are making sales Wut.  Send a few my direction, will you?

It's probably all relative, and different for everyone. My Dec. was only slightly lower than Nov. so the answer for me would probably be 1 or 2 days. But really, that's not a good indication either, because at any moment, on any of the sites, my sales could tank and be below "normal". If there even is a normal anymore.  :'(

Unfortunately that's how it is in this business, one stupid stunt like IS made a couple of weeks ago in you sales plummet (I know ur not at IS, just an example). But what do your sales look like this week?

Not relying on Istock sales probably makes for a much more stable income these days.  You and the others who pulled their ports are certainly having the wisdom of your choice confirmed.  The way my IS sales are going, I don't know if I will still be there in a year or two - maybe less.

One of MSG members has filled his P+ quota and delete the rest of his (non P+) files. It's a good idea if you want to give them a last chance before deleting the whole port. But if sales will continue to plummet, if they'll keep on adding stones around our indie necks (we've been pushed into the see in Sep 10) it doesn't matter anyway, it would be like trying to keep Titanic afloat by throwing the water out with buckets

I have had a good first five days at SS. ODs overshadow subs (for this week, anyways...hopefully for the whole month!) and an EL. Not too shabby. DT hasn't quite woken up from the holiday yet, though.

Forget the first week of January ;-) If you have nice sales consider as as a unusual plus (like me this week).
Second week things are picking up.
Third should be back to normal if not already in the second.
