Hello,
I am a newbie and I wonder how many times your stocks are downloaded per month comparing with the number of your stocks.
I got my first download yesterday in SS with 7 photos. I have 98 files in Fotolia but no downloads yet.

A whole bunch.

The longer answer is that there is no universal correlation between portfolio size and downloads. Some people are Yuri Arcurs and others not so much :). Even for high volume subjects, downloads vary from a top agency, like Shutterstock, to a low volume one like CanStock.
You have masses of duplicates in your Fotolia portfolio - I'm really surprised that they accepted so many virtually identical images. I don't think this will help you sell more.

A whole bunch.
More or less ...

Dont worry about what others are getting concentrate on improving and getting more each month

I am sticking to my new year's resolution- No getting suckered into answering these type of questions - so far it is the 4th of January and I haven't failed yet :)

Dude believe me, not everyone will help you resolving this issue. Lots of microstockers are selfish people who will refrain you from achieving high(not everyone of course). My advice to you is to stop caring about income for now and just work your ass to reach a high quality/quantity portfolio. Experience it by yourself because it's not the same for
Everyone. It's a matter of hard work, geographical location, relevancy of subjects, following the dominating trend, etc. Try your best and the best will find you.

Well you can look at successful ports on some agencies and arrive at a largely inaccurate number based on total downloads over time.
But at this stage your focus should be on putting up quality work as often as possible whilst doing the legwork yourself on the market and the business. This isn't an easy way to make money if that's what you're thinking - but you can make money. Unfortunately you now have serious, focused and motivated competition and the learning curve is vertical*
* But that's what makes it so much fun for many of us

Dude! Most microstockers are just trying to tell new folks the truth of this harsh business. What do you want us to with someone new? Tell them they will be come the next Yuri?
By getting the 'truth' - which I see/read most of the posts here doing exactly that- the new person will know how hard it is to make money and have correct expectations.
And I just broke my new year's resolution only 5 days into the year! :(

I get lots of downloads but why should that matter to you?
I had a look at your port and you really need to work on your technique. The white backgrounds are grey and a lot of the stuff is under exposed.
I'm not being unkind but it beats me why SS accepted any of these photos.
You are also border line keyword spamming throwing unrelated keywords at the photos.
You know it just pees buyers off to search for keywords and then find a lot of unrelated stuff?
So work on your camera technique. Don't keyword spam don't bother submitting white background shots until you are 100% with the technique.
Good luck :)

your problem is , you dont make commercial useful images.

Anyway, the niche for cactus candles have you filled more than sufficient 8)

i don't think it matters. all i see , which i think u too should worry is ,
---how much money i make each month?
if each month u get more money than the previous year, or in your case, the previous month,
then u r ok. but u r so new, u should stop trying to find an answer which no one knows,
and instead just keep looking at the best sellers and say, "hell, i can do that,
or i can do better"... and just submit your work.
then hope your new images get seen .
ah, the last statement is the secret to making money in microstock 8)
