I voted on the 100-250 interval, although if the question was altered to "How much have you earned in Stock (not just micro) photography?" I would have to vote on the 250-500 interval...

seems like a nice range here.  Some people earning a good full time wage, a few hobbyists and a few in the middle :)

187$, to be precise. :) Only on FOTOLIA, because I am only selling there. I hope october will break 200$.... :)

$ 187 on FT quite impressive  :) I am sure  you can do much better by contributing to the other microstocks !

Chode! That is impressive, I agree with idambies, you will make so much more by submitting to other agencies as well. I estimate you might even earn 5 times as much, by joining the other major microstock agencies and uploading your 2000+ images.

In few days I am bying my new camera Canon EOS 400D, and then I will start on 6-7 other agencies. So far I used Canon S3 IS, and I was only testing the market... now the real thing will begin! :) Hopefully.... :D

Based on the September 2007 Earnings breakdown thread, I'd say that you could be earning $1000+ per month by the end of the year if you uploaded to more sites than FT, Chode.

Why are you only using FT? Forget taking new pics - get uploading!

I fully agree with Sharply_done.  I upload to 5 sites and FT this month gave me one 8th of my total earnings.

I am new here, I started 3-4 months ago, so I did not expected that this will be going so well. I will make more images, and sell to other agencies. I cant sell those that are now on fotolia, because they are exclusive, and I would have to cancel it, and wait for 3 months... and the question is would they be accepted on other sites.... so when I get my new dSLR camera in a few days, I will star shooting non exclusive images, and start seling those on few other sites :) I am already registered  (and accepted) on Istock, stockxpert, shutterstock... and I will register on few others.

Good strategy Chode, that's what I did : keep you photo exclusive on FT and start uploading on 5 or 6 sites new pics. You will do well I am sure

I strongly disagree - cancel your exclusive photos on FT immediately!

These are images from which you will earn $10,000+ in the upcoming year. By keeping them exclusive to FT you are quite literally throwing this money away.

I started this microstock thing in june, so that's umm.. 4 months ago and i'm allready in the 2-3k group  ;D

Needless to say i'm really, really, really happy about that  8)

umm are you calculating your total all time or total in just Sept?  $2000 / month is a pretty high number with under 500 images - and only 238 sales on a site like dreamstime.

The poll was for the total for just september.

Sharply done, I am not so sure because as said Chode the pics he has on FT might not be accepted elsewhere (I know this is my case). When I started on FT I got very average pics accepted so I don't know if it worth the hassle to cancel them as exclusive....

Thanks  :D It hasn't been easy though, creating and uploading 400 images/month isn't very easy, but i suppose everyone on here knows that allready  ::)

But hey, if that's what it takes to earn me a fair bit of $, then i'm in for it  8) Just needs some dedication and time.

I wouldnt agree. I tried actually to upload some on SS, IS, and SX, but none was accepted due "poor lens quality", of my Canon S3 IS. So I stuck on fotolia, and from my personal opinion my S3 images are decent, sharp, and nice colors. And they sell on fotolia. But, with new dSLR camera and good lens, I will try my luck on some other sites...

So that was the main reason why I sell only on fotolia.

Chode, you've got 2234 images at Fotolia, but only 240 of those have got downloads.  Clearly you've got to decide whether to leave them all at FT or submit to mutliple agencies.

If you believe the quality won't meet the standards elsewhere then of course you've got to leave them where they are.

You've got some great ideas worth shooting again once your DSLR arrives.

Lisa Gange and Yuri...for sure.   Boy if that isn't motivating...I don't know what is.

We've got at least three members here capable of the $10,000 plus mark - iofoto, Sean Locke and Andresr.

I'm sure others will reach that level in the fullness of time.......

I'm glad to see some people making more serious money at this. I've only been at it a short while... I'm more interested in seeing $/image (must be the M.B.A. in me) than totals; to get a comparison that is less dependant on number of images or age of portfolio.

Just under 300, but that includes video on Shutterstock. About 150 from photos on Shutterstock, Fotolia, and Bigstock. Negligable sales on IStock and Dreamstime. However, I've been slacking lately. Now that I'm getting serious again, I hope to see improvement. So far so good. I'm giving IS another try, DT is picking up, and I'm in the process of uploading 400-500 photos to StockXpert, SV, and LO. Nothing yet from Alamy. :-\

I would guess not. I just got to listing everything.
BTW, Congrats on your success at alamy. May I ask how long you've been there, number of photos etc? I only have about 50 shots there, moastly editorial, just a few RF. I'm really not sure what to expect.
