No way I'd compare this year with last year with actual numbers. I couldn't bear the disappointment. All I know is that this year, so far, sucks. Last year sucked a bit more than the year before which also sucked compared with the year before that. That one only sucked a little bit.

Thank goodness I do this as a hobby or I'd really be depressed.

that sucks

I tend to upload at a fairly steady 700-odd new images per year, averaging about 60 per month.

May 2010:
IS On the weak side, but nothing unusual (I have already estimated the bump I will get from Thinkstock later on)
SS A Solid month, not good, not bad.
DT Very weak, Last time I got thiss little was July 2008 with a portfolio of only half of what I have now
FT A Bit on the weak side, but nothing unusual.

Conclusion: I got only about 10% more than in May 2009, so I'm a bit dissappointed. (I have much larger portfolio now and I have been uploading lately a lot)
It's very easy to see that RPI's are still falling all the time...

My first month as independent, and I understand why you all love SS. The number of downloads and revenue from DT has been cut in half, but the RPD is about the same as before.

DT: 26%
SS: 53%
IS: 16%
Other: 6%

The total sum is quite low, but the trend is clear. I'm about halfway through uploading the old pictures, so SS will probably be good for another month or two. There is of course a larger backlog on IS. That really is a tiresome upload process.

hi all

May 2009 i have 2500 images on SS, DT, FT, 123RF, and only 170 on IS.

May 2010 i have about 5000 on SS, DT, FT, 123RF and 600 on IS.

my portfolio is doubled compared to 2009, and my total earning is more than doubled (208% growth). i haven't really seen a decrease yet as most of people here are reporting dropping in sales and revenue, maybe it's just me, anyone else have same experience?

May was better the last month. Hope this is a trend. Shutterstock is still number one for me followed by Fotolia, CanStockPhoto, and Yay Micro.

I didn't make the effort any more to calculate any stats this month. I always told myself that when my earnings went below 300$ per month, I would leave Micro. I must be a very lousy amateur since that point has been reached finally. Shooting for microstock just became too boring. Got things to do that make money, so... happy shooting.  ;)
I am really sorry to hear that.
