Hi guys,
I am quite new to stock and when I signed up, I just used my first name, initial and postal code as my password. I am now looking to make a web site and potentially set up a symbiostock site but if I use the same neme, it looks pretty Blah. I would like to change my user name on all the agencies I have set up with, do you know if it's possible? (thought I'd ask before starting and getting stuck half way  ;)

here are the agencies I signed up with:
IS
SS
BS
canS
veer
DT
FT
123RF
PhotoDune
Pond5
Most

Thanks for your imput!

Julie

Hopefully you changed all your passwords! Otherwise do this as soon as possible.
Every agency and your paypal- or moneybookers account need a different password and it needs to be a difficult one.

The best I can advise you is to install a passwordsafe on your computer (like Keepass for example) and store your passwords in it. Then there is only one password you have to remember  and it is a lot safer.

There has been a topic on this forum about someone using the same password for all agencies and Paypal and there was a lot of money stolen from his account.

For security reasons you should completely erase this thread and ask your question in general without details in a new thread. And, like Colette, I would advise you, change all your password in all agencies as soon as possible!!!
As far as I know it's inpossible  to change a user name in most agencies.

You can change your username on iStock, but you have to ask CR to do it for you.

Some agencies will allow a name change. Others wont, 123rf for example.

Sorry guys! I made a typo, I used my name, initial and postal code for my username, so no worries about safety.

Thanks Shady Sue and Monty M gue, I'll look into it

Username may or may not be changed depending on agency, but for many of them (SS, FT for example) you can change the credit line/business name and that is what buyers see and credit you, so that should be good enough. You can also add it in a logo and  place in your profile picture. Many agencies let you add your website to your profile too.
