Title: If you need to delete a photo...
Post by: leszek on March 11, 2008, 04:55
Can anyone clarify 123RF and Dreamstime in particular ? These marked "can do" offer the facility to delete an image directly.

Shutterstock - can do
Dreamstime - not sure, there is a "Disable" button
123RF - no (maybe E-mail request can be sent, not sure)
BigStock - need to send E-mail request
CanStock - can do
Fotolia - can do
Stockxpert - can do
Featurepics - there is facility to request deletion
Mostphotos - can do.

I recently disabled an img on DT wanted to delete it as it has been designated for another project. Although the image is out of public view, they still "hold onto it" in what they told me was "liability reasons" or something like that "for a couple of months". No specific timeframe was given to me.

On FP, I have been doing some gallery cleanup there. Deletion takes about 1-3 days, and it's just simply gone after the request, no holding in any of their queues.

For 123RF you can go to your "History" and click on one of your uploaded batches. In there is an option to delete the photo from the 123RF site.
