I am currently aligned with 12 Microstock and Stock agencies and have just signed up to the Explorer Plus account on Imagebrief. However upon uploading a portfolio I noticed they cant be for sale anywhere else. Are people actually pulling their images that are currently selling on other sites down. I was hoping to upload my personal favourites (5 star in Lightroom) and move on. Seems like I have to manauly pull images down and take a fair bit of risk.

How are others dealing with it. managing separate upload queues?

A while ago. I was participating to a lot of briefs on Image briefs and I decided that the day One of my images was going to be chosen, I'd upgrade. My images were often shortlisted but the problem that I noticed is that about 90% of the briefs you see posted never get awarded! I guess the clients don't choose anything or were just using it as market research.

Seems pretty expensive to pay for a subscription to get a 100% of no commission. I also doubt that their market place will really pick up. They are trying to be like stocksy but their collections are inconsistent and pretty expensive.

I still submit once in a while but to me, it will make sense to pay them if they first bring me some money.

I quite like the helpful approach of the Imagebrief staff.

I have had some little success with sales, but not enough to justify paying a yearly premium.

If someone believe in itself and in the success of its business, then he should not request payment for to upload images on sale. I do not mention particular Image Brief, this is matter of principle. I would agree to pay the amount, but if it's deduced from my sales.

How often you can sell image via ImageBrief (brief), what is average time?

Average Brief, if:
- participants 100 photographers per brief
- every photographer add 2 images per brief
- awarded briefs is 10%
- if you joint to 20 briefs in year with 2 images each
On average you sold one image in 100 year

What´s your average, think about that!

I sold one today through their non brief Marketplace search and received $500 as I get 100% commission because I signed up and paid for premium. Sales has been enough over the last year to make the $500pa premium cost worthwhile. Of course everyone's experience will be different but I'm alright with them. Nice responsive people to work with and I do believe they are sincere in what they are trying to achieve.

good point. .. coincidentally, i was just over at photo shelter and thought the same.
i joined them at the inception when they were free. left when they started charging..
without any success of selling when they were free.
it just doesn't gives them incentive to market your stuff...
and i am thinking photo shelter is the same.

if they want to be pushing ahead of micro, then be like stocksy..
elitist, perharps, but those who are part of stocksy seem to be happy there.
and i don't think they charge a fee, although i do not frequent the site.
