It's a bit comforting that most of us are having a very bad month. But I'd rather have "every one is having BME"...

Does anyone have any clue why the sales are so bad? Summer vacations are over, the economy is slowly picking up (both in US and Europe). Of course there is the old over supply argument, but something has clearly happened after May.
I've had a slow start to September before and its picked up in the last 2 weeks of the month.  I won't tear my remaining hair out until 1st October :)

I've been working hard and waiting for a good September. But so far it's not what I was expecting. I hope this week it will pick up.

Good sales to all.

On track for my worst month ever at iStock and a BME at SS....but, we're only half way through the month so it's a little early to get too depressed/encouraged.

I stopped uploading months ago, and SS might have made a change that now favors newer images.

Im  a  small  time  with  small  ports  everywhere.  But  this  is  my  BMe  beating  out  Aug,  If  the  2nd  half  of  Sept  goes  well  i  may  get  a  payout  from  several  sites.

September is about 75% of May and June, but picking up from July and August that were bad.

Conclusion: Long summer slump, lost customers and increased competition.

Yeah, I think they did a few months ago.

I did my little research on whats moving at this time. Lifestyle related subjects are selling well. Nature, business and other subjects have taken back seat for a while. Assumption based on the list of best sellers across various sites. Some people felt, Syria related stuff will sell, it did not. Lifestyle seems to be the all time green in demand images. For a niche that is already over crowded, do not know if that is hitting September alone.  For last two days, the things have improved slightly but nor significantly.
