The microstock industry is seeing a lot of competition with steep downfall in the royalty and the other hand inflation is on surge.
How do you all see this and is the microstock future diminishing?
Do the agencies keeping 80-90% cut of our earning fair?

microstock? istock with some 0,00X sales became nano-stock.

The future of microstock?
The future is buyers will demand lower and lower prices, and agencies will pay contributors less and less.
That's the future.

Inflation is only a short term issue. The longer term problem is AI. Agencies are waiting for AI to continue maturing to the point where they can eliminate contributors. As AI matures they will pay you less until they stop paying you.

for the last year or more US inflation has been close to 2% while many other countries are still struggling - price increases everywhere are not due to inflation
if inflation was a problem for agencies, we'd see an increase in prices. instead we see a not unexpected decrease in prices as the market matures & images are a commodity
