What programs are they using these days for embedding IPTC data?

I use Exifer. When I need to change keyword order or add one in a specific point of the list, I use Irfanview.

Allows you to read and edit most of the data in images.

Adobe Bridge, great disc browser too, can generate previews for a lot lore file formats than the standard Windows file browser
