Is it any deal to do it for next years or maybe forever. I mean sales are not the best. Those 10 cent sales on shutterstock are funny too. AI can overtake humanly made photos.

Whether it's worth or not it is in the eye of the beholder. I don't know how the whole thing will develop next years.

At Shutterstock, my RPD is 60 - 70 cents for an average of 800 image DLs per month. And yes, since it's a hobby for me, it's a nice side income for me together with other agencies.

I wouldn't rely on it to feed my (hypothetical) family, if that's what you mean.

You shouldn't be rich with this, but it's pocket money to buy some equipment. The only ones I keep now are IS, AS and SS. I will close soon my account with DT. Made A lot more money with selling my pics online on Print on demand sites.

It depends on what you are looking for,if you want to make a few dollars without commitment it takes some time and work but it can be done,
if instead you want to try to earn hundreds or thousands of dollars it is extremely difficult and requires many years of sacrifice and hard work.

I agree with Ralf --- "since it's a hobby for me, it's a nice side income" ... I have a lot of fun making images, it sparks creativity, and getting that little extra dinero each month is the cherry on top. Also, during Covid, it kept me motivated and busy.

I still upload a few images each month. Clearly my income from stock has decreased a lot in the last 17 years. When I first started I could sell 100-200 images a day. Now if I get sells on 5-10 images a day that is a good day. Some days this year I have received zero sales. This is my first year to get zero sales on any given day. So is it worth it....not sure...But I still enjoy the thought that someone somewhere in the world is using and publishing one of my images.

there are many more than you can imagine, but to be able to earn thousands of dollars a month, especially if you start in these times,it takes many years and many hours of work a day even with AI,then it also depends on the type of content,in my opinion quality is worth more than quantity, but that's not certain because finding a niche and covering it with mediocre content can be just as profitable as well.

that's because their RPD isnt a dime!   my SS RPD has consistently been $.7-.9 / mo and others report similar - i dont recall anyone reporting an RPD < $.20

that's still a lot of downloads, but other have reported similar incomes
