Title: Is there a certain aspect ratio that sells better than others?

What aspect ratio do you use when creating illustrations? Now I assume landscape format is more popular than portrait orientation...?
For instance; is this image too wide?

I just started illustration and would like to know the aspect ratio is most commonly needed. Thanks

Normally I create my artwork on a 5000x5000 px canvas, but that's mostly just graphical elements and not landscape illustrations. Personally I'd go for a 16:9 aspect ratio, then it could also be integrated into (HD) video as well.
