No, unless you have an agreement to transfer the copyright and you would have to pay a lot for that, if you can find someone prepared to do it.

You don't buy the image, you buy a license to use the image in limited ways.  To use another persons image to sell on stock sites, you have to buy it outright and get a copyright transfer.

You be better off reading the licencing conditions of the various sites than asking random questions on here. http://www.shutterstock.com/license

Some sites allow you to incorporate assets within a project, and then sell the resulting imagery on stock sites. Some don't. The ones that do, you'll probably have to buy an extended license. Like Pauws99 says.. check the license terms.

I don't know of any stock agencies that allow that - and if I did, I wouldn't sell there. I don't know which agencies you're referring to - perhaps it'd be a good idea to be specific - but just to be clear for people new to this: You cannot use any part of a stock image you license in anything you plan to upload for stock.

If you get caught (and there are a lot of eagle eyes out there even though the agencies don't do much looking) you will get banned and your income confiscated. You won't just risk the loss of the images in question. Don't even think about it

Stock is generally for "end-use" situations. Buying to re-sell, even with modification, isn't an end-use scenario.

CG Trader. Not specifically images, but stock 3D models...

2.2. The Buyers license to Product in this paragraph is strictly limited to Incorporated Product. Any use or republication, including sale or distribution of the Product that is not and Incorporated Product, is strictly prohibited. For illustration, approved distribution or use of Product as Incorporated Product includes, but is not limited to: (1) as rendered still images or moving images; resold as part of a feature film, broadcast, or stock photography;

Pretty sure there's something similar on Fotolia, and possibly Pond5 before they changed the licenses... will double check.

The output of 3D rendering software being salable makes sense - but that isn't at all analogous to combining or editing stock images and then licensing the result as stock.

For a very hefty EL, I could imagine offering an image as something to be incorporated in a new image/illustration/video for sale as stock - but the output would have to be substantially different from the original. I don't think any agency offers this, possibly because of the difficulty of policing the results.

Also those info graphics you deleted from SS after this thread, best to delete them from all the other sites if they use other people's work.

there is something called a mechanical license which allows you to resell someone else's work incorporated in your own work, however you have to pay them a percentage for each of your sales.

however, I have not seen it available on any stock photo or stock video web site.
