It seems both of these sites are down? :(
-
Shutter stock is. Just go into istock though so it is back up.
-
maybe shutterstock is adding a server or two to make things as fast as a regular site.
we can only hope :)
-
Just submit.shutterst.com is out, www.shutterstock.com is fine...
Maybe Leaf submitted too many images, crashed the thing....
-
yeah, i wish.

what is that i see.. someone actually posted a link to shutterstock WITHOUT a referall... impossible. :)
-
only because the referral link would go to the site that is down ...
The good news as Chellyar points out is that the front end designe site is not down so it shouldn't effect sales.
-
I believe this link should still work.
Buy photos at Shutterstock (http://www.shutterstock.com/?rid=102)

Weird that SS is still down. Very odd for a large online company IMHO.
Still, at least it means I won't spend an hour reading the meaningless drivel in the forums over there. :-).
-
Very weird. If it was schduled, they would have a page up saying that wouldn't they?
-
good point. If my hopes of adding more servers had been correct, you would think they would be redirecting us to another page or something.. but nope. :S

I was up around 4:00a and went to iStock. There was a site mail waiting for me so I clicked on it. This brought me to the sign-on page, which I thought was odd. But everytime I tried to sign in, it just brought me back to the sign-on page. I then tried to take a look at my portfolio without logging in, and it couldn't find it. At that point, I started to panic. I thought that they had booted me off the site. I started to try a bunch of different things, until I finally found a thread on one of the forums that said that there were problems starting to occur.
Phew! What a relief!

or MAYBE there is going to be a new version of shutterstock out :)
I am just tring to think positive here.
But i mentioned a sudjestion a while back, to have the cd downloads not added to the regular downloads tally. They said they were going to have that in the next version... maybe it is coming today :)
except perhaps they would have a proper redirect then. hmm...

I'm off to bed, it's nearly 1am here, so I should probably get some sleep!
That, and I've given up waiting for dreamstime to show the stuff I ftp'd in the unfinished uploads... That takes ages sometimes.

The forums were still working apparently. Some people must have it bookmarked.

I think their 'a few minutes' is a little longer than my 'a few minutes'
