Interesting comment from another thread by common!

"Having been a microstock buyer, keyworder, photo editor and uploader I'm lucky to have a bit of insight here. And, i would never upload to a site I wouldn't want to buy from. Like Canstock or mostphotos for instance"

Now i wounder which sites do we harm us self by providing to?

I really wounder if its worth while uploading to any other sites than the big 6 and the ones that maybee can make a payout/year with a normal portfolio, around 1000 pics.

Hmmm... yes interesting indeed.. ;)

I meant that is it worth the investment in time, uploading to a site that you couldn't imagine will do well, anyway? I will upload to some sites because I respect their approach and their business plan, or their potential. If one of those potential sites pulls thru, then its worth being on board when it does. Its not worth it for current earning but for future earnings.

I will continue to upload to Crestock, SnapVillage and Yaymicro (when its released) because they are sites that i have and will buy images from, and can see legitimate reasons why other people would too.

As a designer, I've purchased from over 10 of the sites supported here. As a photog, I upload to all 10 of those (and a couple of others). I have my favorites but have received payouts from all of them, so I continue to upload. When it only takes the press of a computer key and pays additional $, why not...nothing ventured nothing gained.

P.S. I know I'm not the stereo typical "designer". As a contributor, I know that the same shots are not on all of the sites, so I'll take the time to look at other micros to find the "right" image...another reason to contibute to other sites (that "rejected" image from Fotolia may be EXACTLY the one I'm looking for). I also know designers who purchase a subscriptions at one site and never leave.
