Dreamstime has a Keymasters Program that says it will increase your sales by 140%. For only .60 cents per image. Has anyone here used this program and seen their sales go up by 140%?

With 1000 images, you would have to spent 600$ for  them to keyword your images. How are sales going at DT right now, or should I say, they're not going anywhere, you would probably need 10 years, to get that money back...

Well if that increase rate of 140% sums up to an income close to what you earn from SS, then don't do it. If it sums up that you will earn close to double the amount of earning you get from SS then it might worth just bare in mind how long it will take until you will get back that investment plus profit?
My conclusion is that even if that will be true, it might not worth it.

You should think more about the reason on why they made this program.
To be honest i'm seeing 2 main reasons in which you should raise some questions to yourself

1. They're planning to sell the DT brand so they're rushing for a few extra earning (for themselves of course) or
2. They are aware of the bad keywording the majority of contributors are doing where you should ask yourself if the keywording you're doing is doing fine and maybe you might want to cjeck a few articles about it or even seminaries why not.

An article that looked interesting to me about keywording you can find here: https://www.stockperformer.com/blog/keywording-for-success/
Just make sure you're making the right decisions. Good day!

"Upto" so being generous 100% increase if your keywording is not great. Probably better investing your time in improving your keywording.

Well I agree on all that was mentioned above, to me its simply a way for DT to make more money, key wording is not that difficult, the only benefit is that DT knows what buyers are typing into their search boxes and what will pull up as a result of those searches. So if you are lazy to do your own key wording or can't figure out how to key word then I guess it might be worth your money!

I thought I'd better write and reply to the question rather than only offer an opinion on dreamstimes motives:

yes I've used it and it was sloooooww. (between 1 and 2 months) but the quality of it was fine - also note that I used it approx 5 years ago - but it's the same offer as it was then.

now the opinion part:
I understand their motives for doing it, it offers a simplified way to upload images and let someone else keyword. I suspect the 140% comes from the difference in sales between a professionally keyworded image and one with poor keywording.

my motives were simply outsourcing keywording (I experimented with cutting an pasting them back into my images and uploading them to other agencies, I'd never dream of doing that now that there are several good place to outsource this to.

overall, it's really only useful if you don't upload to multiple agencies (i.e. you're DT exclusive) I think there would be little benefit if your images are already keyword.

A year down the line a few questions
- for the people who took this up has your sales improved?
- what are the other ways to outsource keywords?
- what keywording tips really helped you?

That "program" has been going for many, many years. I'm not sure why someone thought it was new last year. The impact will obviously be different for everybody, depending on how good their keywording is - but as I understand it, you're just handing images over to people who don't know what's in them, rather like the old "wikiwarrior" attacks on keywords at iStock, where they were quite likely to remove a correct keyword and put in a false one (I had flat-leaf parsley renamed as cilantro in one once and as changing it back was against the rules I just left it).
