Title: Keywording issues (Lightroom)
Post by: arri on April 20, 2013, 12:00
Hi there,

I´ve bought a keyword library (ControlledVocabulary) and worked with that now on some pictures. When sending them to a stock library the keywords contain a lot of unhelpful stuff like subcategory parents, "CVKC" (which seems to be the ControlledVocabulary standard keyword). This is very annoying because you begin to clean the keywords within the library again.
So, I would appreciate any suggestions how to optimize that. I work with Lightroom 4 so keywording within LR would be nice - anyway: if there is a way better tool I´m open.

I believe in LR if you have a keyword that has parent keywords the way to avoid exporting the parent keyword is to edit the subkeyword and uncheck the box that says "Export containing keywords". This may prevent parent keywords from being exported when you create export your files for upload out of LR.
