Title: List of top photo sites?

Hello,

I am new to stock photo sites and I know the big companies, but what other ones are good earners? Where do you recommend I start with my photos? Are some sites better than others if I have specific type of photos?

I look on forum and so many companies listed, is very confusing.

The sites on the sidebar to the right are listed in order of the amount they make people (on average) each month.  A good plan could be to start at the top and add sites moving downwards until you feel you have enough. :)  If your portfolio is under 1000 images it may not be worth your effort adding many lower earning sites.  Of course, it all depends on how much your time is worth and how easy it is to upload to a given site.

My portfolio (for now) is under 1000. I have about 30 for now that i would like to try to start with.

doyou set your own prices or does sites decide prices for you?

I don't do this promotion very often, but if you are new and seriously want to have a go at stock photography, I wrote a book that gets pretty good reviews and goes through each of the sites outlining their pros and cons and any quirks that you should be aware of.

A quick google search will probably find a bunch of sites like mine and steves that have a list of agencies, but mostly they will be similar to Leaf's poll on the right.
