Made 7 sales on 500px (2 photos twice). All sales were made on the same day and purchased by the same client.
The purchaser was VCG. The Chinese version of Getty Images.
The pictures purchased were some old ones that I had uploaded here 6 or 7 years ago, and so far the only ones
I've managed to sell here on this site.
I should be rejoicing but I'm not. Simply because each pic that I sold here was for one cent only.
So in total I only made 7 cents for 7 pics.
No pun intended but how low can they get? An agency as big as VCG pays only one cent for a photo?!
This is supposed to be the 3rd largest photostock group in the world and they only give me a penny for a
picture.
Well I certainly don't have any incentive to upload anything more here.
Anybody else have had the same experience here on 500px?

Actually I had similar experiences recently. I got two sales from VCG in NOV, also got one cent each, so... my earning is 2 cents....
Several years ago, VCG source don't pay this low, but now it's what it is. I stop uploading there several years ago, but didn't delete my account to see what it will looks like...

Same here, 5 sales for a total of .50. As soon as I can reach payout, I'll be deleting my entire port. I quit uploading there years ago.

Similar experience. Stopped uploading years ago.
I remember some years ago a gallery I was showing at asked for my 500px account link - so much for the next big thing back then - disappointing. So much unrealized potential.

There were good sales there a few years ago, much better than the micros and Alamy but after some recent 1c and 5c sales I decided no and and deleted all but 2 of my images (not on sale). Just kept the account open so I don't lose all my favourites.

I am over the payout threshold and I just deleted everything.
Deleting hundreds of images one by one required perseverance, but it's done.
