I would like to solicit some suggestions for informing reviewers that an image
is not in fact copyrighted.
DT and FT both have an area for notes to the reviewers when uploading, but others do not.
The problem I run into is with the sites that don't have anyway to tell the reviewer that the
image were designed and created my me in photoshop.
In the past I have tried submitting property and model releases both indicating that the items were
not real and that they were my own creation....but without success.
below i submit to you an example of 3 small images that have been accepted on some sites, while rejected by others for copyright infringements.

This is a small sample, however I need to find a solution because these concept images are making up about 50% of my portfolio now.

Well...send a note to support (such as Scout team on Istock) stating that the rejected images are your own work and ask them kindly to reconsider them. The rejections should be overturned. Good luck, Miz!

What the heck is wrong with your stamps edges, I've never seen such a malformed mess of a stamp in my life

Maybe add the info in the description field.

I wish I new the answer. I had a similar problem recently with an image that had the same person in it twice so they kept asking for two releases. At the forth attempt on one of the sites I put a message in the description area in capital letters with lines of asterisks each end of the the message so that it would catch their eye and it finally worked. A lot of reviewers don't bother reading the description so you need to make it eye catching.

There are several newspapers called "The Daily News." The name must be trademarked by someone.
Not sure about the stamp. Could be the reviewer thought you had scanned an existing stamp and was concerned about the artwork being copyrighted. An email to support should clear it up, though.
No idea about the other one. Doesn't look like any existing PDA that I've seen. At least not to the point where copyright could become an issue.

Several newspapers having the same name and it's trademarked or copyrighted by by one of them.
in actuality it is NOT. The one's that are, are preceded by the city they represent I.E. "New York Daily News".

I agree that you could put that note somewhere in the description/title of the image, if you have no other options. Describe the image as "original illustration of generic newpaper", etc....

I recently tried that too!
For the digital stock exchange I placed:
"A mock digital readout of stocks made 100% in photoshop (designed & made entirely by the artist)"
in the description.

what is the simple way in PS to combine several images into one?

I would suggest putting it in the description field on your StockXpert entries.
I would also use the description field to indicate whether a buidling or landmark, etc. is public or not.

Who asked you anyway? How about responding to the thread topic rather than giving a negative critique of a sample image.

Well after this thread has been read 236 times I suspect I've gotten all the suggestions I'm gonna get.
It appears there is no guaranteed way to notify the reviewers, and I'll just live with it the best I can.

As far as I remember istock states, somewhere in the faq or introduction for submitters, that such info should be placed in the description along with camera model and such if it could be relevant to the reviewer... I might be mistaken though :)

Actually, it is. The Daily News is a trademark (registered in some cases) of the respective newspapers. More than one company can trademark a name, as long as they aren't competing in the same market. Obviously newspapers are local, so it's not an issue. The logos are also copyrighted, and while I'm not sure if your version matches any other existing version of a Daily News logo, the simple fact that you're using the name as it appears on many newspapers in mastheads should raise concern with reviewers.
Trademark or not, you're using a popular business name in an image. And you can't figure out how a reviewer might turn that image down?
