Title: Microstock in Mongolia
Post by: WarrenPrice on March 29, 2010, 18:42
It was so cool to look into my Google Analytics Web Page analyzer and see a hit from Mongolia.  There was no purchase involved; just a thrill of seeing a Mongolian reading my motocross blogs.  Come to think of it; I have seen several "knockoff" (made in China) bikes at the tracks.  Maybe Mongolians are replacing their horses?   :P  It is a small world.   :o

That may be politically incorrect.  I'm just succumbing to the National Geographic sterotype.   ::)

politically correct .. I don't know .. once you said Mongolian all I could think about was that episode of South Park where they have the Chinese guy build the great wall around the city and the Mongolians keep knocking holes in it.

Camels and horses still prevail in Mongolia I'm afraid - there are a few bikes though!
This may be a tangent but.. this may help you to confirm/reject any stereotypes about Mongolia:

The photos were taken before I got into stock so they are snapshots. Nothing worthy of being sold.
A truly amazing country.
