Title: Microstock on my Photo-site
Post by: jjneff on June 09, 2006, 04:40
I am trying to include some of the micorstock sites on my Photography site. I am not a full time Pro but would love your input!
Thanks! See how you like it.

Hi Jjneff,

what do you mean on your site with pictures of high moral character?
You have nice pics!

I say because I do not like to shoot nudes or provoctive pictures. I know this is art for some and I am judging them in any way! I have to say this on my site so that I can refuse any project that I am not comfortable with. Thanks for the compliment! It is encouraging to hear ;D

Oh I see, yeah, I would not shoot them too, although it seems quite popular to do such photography. Yes its good to say this to be able to refuse such projects..  But you need some more pictures on the websites :-)

Instead of saying "high moral character" which may appear as a put down to some people why not instead say something along the lines of "We do not do photography that is intended for mature audiences only" or "we specialize in creating photos that all generations can appreciate"

I think high moral character sounds better. For advertism it sounds more positive, while "we do not do photography...", or "we specialize in creating photos.." sounds far more resticting and more negative for advertism. And for many people it is an issue of morality so his selection of words for people who search for photographers who do photos with a "high moral character" sounds better.

Thanks for the reply. I think I will keep "high moral charcter" for now or I will say I reserve the right to refuse any project. I am trying my best to get more pictures on my stock sites. I need more time! Thanks for the comments it is very helpful
