Title: Mid-month catastrophy
Post by: melastmohican on May 15, 2009, 12:51
My sales are diving this month across the board.

Mine are down quite a bit, too, but for whatever reason I've been seeing an increase across the board for ELs all year long.  Thanks to the increase in ELs, my earnings per weekday are on the rise (I use earnings per weekday, because my goal is to make a certain amount per hour, like any 8-hour-per-day job).

If it's bad now, it's only going to get worse: this is a long weekend in Canada, and next week there's one in the USA.
When I had a regular job I looked forward to long weekends. Now, not so much.

I should accept that it will not be a good month, move on and start enjoying some shooting. Just got my first strobist kit so I have to learn how to control my flash off camera :-)

I've seen things turn around during the second half of the month before. Too early to tell how the totals will end up. Better to see the glass as half full.  ;)

For me sales are very low this month, with the exception of DT where I'm $2.50 short of my BME. My DT earning for the month are more than double that of SS, and it looks like for the first time DT will outsell SS this month.

Yeah... maybe we should cancel weekends and holidays... that should fix the download problem ;)

Someone turned the downloads back on at IS this week which is a nice change - just hope it continues. We also have fairly new search formulas at SS and DT - could be a bit ugly for some this month. Last week was a bit grim for me - the worst in total since the second week of the year - it was even worse than Easter...even though there wasn't a holiday that I was aware of? for some reason there was a big hole in downloads on the 6th on both IS and SS.

Thankfully things were much better this week. I suspect the next few months are going to be a bit choppy as several sites go through a process of re-alignment.

Sales are down for me too, although I noticed a resurrection in StockXpert in the past days.

Same for me - pretty quiet all around but still ticking along.

I noticed that too.   Lots of views and a few more sales than zero ;)

Maybe they send a mail to buyers to hurry up finish their last credits before blowing the place up...
