Title: Model Release for same photos uploaded to different sites

Hi, need advice on this.

i have never done stock with a model before. Am thinking
of doing it now. If i have the same photo that
i wanna upload to several sites, do i have to get the
model to sign on each MR that downloaded from the
sites, or will just one MR apply for all the sites? if only
one will do, MR from which site do u recommend?

Use a generic release (ie non site specific).  Most just alter iStocks one as it is the most strick.  Just remove the logo and the references to iStock.

I dont do model shots but this is what is always recommended.

I'v used Fotolia's so far and had no problem with it.

I've posted this release before, but couldn't find the thread.  I put Istock's language into a word document.  Just add your own info.  Should print on one page for you.  The top is a table where I have my own logo and my address on the other side.  Just delete the table if you don't want to do that.

thanks for the replies and suggestions.

i noticed that in every MR from the different sites,
a witness is required. does that mean the witness
has to be present during the shootings? or can it
be someone who signs on it but not being in the
shootings?

also, after signing the MR, the model may not sell
the photos? but can only use it for his/her personal
port folio?

i hope my english is clear here  ::)

1) The witness must see the model and the photographer sign the release. That is the whole point of the witness signing the contract.

2) The model can never sell the photos, with or without a release. However, if you want to give the model prints for their personal pertfolio that is ok (it is a normal practice).
