Hi all,

I think there are quite a popular faces among top contributors.

I happened to see a few popular model under different photographer name.

I wonder are the top photographers just use different or multiple accounts on different sites? or just the models aren't exclusive to one photographer.

it is known those top contributors managed multiple accounts and different names under many sites?

Well Emma Bunchen, Cindy Crawford and Elle Mcpherson, are all associated with photographers, Patrick Demachelier and Peter Lindberg.
Ofcourse they upload their famous fashion shots all over the micro industry. Cindy, gets about 0.25c, per picture or something like that.

There are meetups sometimes, like the IStock ones for example, people have shared shoots on those

I'm guessing that other than 'friends and relatives' there will be relatively very few models exclusive to one micro photographer. Surely the expense in that wouldn't be worth in for other than the very top micro superstars. Even then, they'd want a variety of models in their ports so that they don't risk 'similars' rejections.

Models are free to work with whoever they wish. In cities with a lot of microstock photographers, models are going to get used in multiple ports. I can't be bothered to find the image again (I posted it in a thread here once though) but I once found one of the models I used, used by another photographer shooting for getty.

the model i saw on the portfolio is always with yuri, so i will think maybe it is just another brand or name for yuri..

I won't not surprise to see other model, but i will think for those top contributors, they may prefer to source out some models themselve..base on the location, and working relationship.

So maybe the top contributors are spread their portfolio with different brands also?

Yuri shoots a lot in South Africa, as do a number of other big name stock photographers. They use lots of the same models.

quite interesting to know, what is the reason many big name are happened to be in south africa?
