Title: Moneybookers?
Post by: grp_photo on November 26, 2008, 07:47
found this message in my inbox of featurepics today:
"IMPORTANT NOTICE
We regret to inform you that payments between US customers, and US customers and international customers using the Send Money service are no longer supported.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Anybody knows more about this issue most of my transactions have been handed with moneybookers as Shutterstock is also in the US they should be affected too.

it is obviosly featurepics problem. I got money from FT, DT, IS... on MB without a problem. I dont see whay they shouldnt use MB. Many people use MB as only option. If MB was shut down, that would be the end of business for me. Paypal dont alow withdrawing money in my region. We shall see, but dont think SS would stop paying us via MB.

MB is not my only choice anymore, as with PP I can send money to my CC - I have not tried it and I don't know the fees involved.  However, MB is more convenient for me, and I wished these now common problems between sites and MB were sorted out.

Too bad , as mooneybookers is my only option , and even if it was not I would still use them cause I had nothing but good experience with them.

Is it only for Featurepics or what!?

I think that could be only internal problem between FP and MB, nothing else...

Bigger problem would be made much noise in general, till now ...

UPDATE:

Cutaster also:

What is with SS, they are also US...!?

Most of the sites seem to have had problems sending out moneybookers payments at some point.  So far, they have been able to sort this out after contacting them but there have been a few payment delays.  Why can't FP and CC sort it out with them?

My only other option is paypal and they sting me with a poor exchange rate.  Moneybookers are much better.

I see Cutcaster have cancelled their moneybookers payment method... So it seems it is more USA-USA and USA>REST OF WORLD problem...

I've started thread on SS to see responses from them... Since they have offices in UK, I beleive they will handle that with ease.

I also started topic on SS forum but still nothing...

Perhaps there is a solution:
Microstock agency need to open bank account somewhere in Europe or Canada...
Then they can with wire transfer upload funds on MB and then to us....

Can anyone in USA check if there is any restriction in the "send money" option in MB?  My account doesn't show anything, maybe because I am in Brazil.  Maybe it's on the merchant account or whatever they call it.

DT also had problems with MB, twice.  Another site also... BigStock or StockXpert?

First time ever.

I have requested bank payment from moneybookers on Sunday , 5 days ago.

Still nothing.

I have a friend working in my bank , so he told me that they received a ticket for that fee from moneybookers , and they ( moneybookers) specificated that transaction
can not be processed  before 01. 12. 2008.

That happened first time ever and I had hundreds of transactions

i had no problems with MB but was shocked to see that message when I inquired about it.  So far I have been able to send payments but it looks like it may have changed.  I only found out about the news from what I heard surrounding FP.
