Hello,

This is my first thread here, so let me introduce myself. My name is Nuno Andr, Im from Portugal and I live in Leiria, a small city at the center of this country.

Ive been a contributor to several microstock agencies since 2009, on a part-time basis, and most of my images and videos were made from 3d rendering and animation.

I am also a long distances trail runner and member of a local club (NEL Ncleo de Espeleologia de Leiria), who has two Joelletes. A Joellete is an all-terrain one-wheeled chair that enables any person with reduced mobility or disability, to get involved in hiking excursions or running activities with the help of at least two guides. We are frequently invited by different organizations to participate in running events with our Joelletes, to carry disabled people and provide them an exciting experience.

One of the organizations that invites us on a regular basis is Casa do Mimo (Caress House), at Batalha town, near Leiria. Casa do Mimo is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 by friends, parents and teachers of impaired children and young people, who suffer from physical and/or mental disorders. This association is focused on help them to get self-confidence and autonomy, promote their social inclusion, increasing their quality life and of those families. More information could be found on: newbielink:https://www.facebook.com/Casa-do-Mimo-240873216284607 [nonactive]

I am an associated member of Casa do Mimo for almost two years and Ive been thinking how can I use the microstock business model to help supporting some of the financial needs of the organization, especially when most of our children and young people come from families with low income.

With the agreement of the Casa do Mimo administration, I started this work in progress project, based on the following steps:
1.   Create a Casa do Mimo account on several microstock agencies;
2.   Produce some content based on impairment and disability topics and donate it to Casa do Mimo, that can be uploaded to the portfolio on the several microstock agencies;
3.   Disseminate this project, intended to raise the awareness about the issues related to the impairment and disability, to encourage and ask others to contribute to the project, donating a digital content (photo, illustration, video or audio), helping to grow the Casa do Mimo portfolio and the potential earnings that could be done;
4.   Using all the earnings to support the Casa do Mimo activities;
5.   Create a facebook page where is shared information about the project, the content donated (referring who had donated) and other relevant information about the project;
6.   Explore other possibilities to get earnings/funds to help the organization.

Until now, I created portfolio on the following agencies with 3 images that are approved and had a few downloads:

Now, I need to produce more content and ask for the content donation from those who wants to contribute to the success of this project, and to help the impaired children and young people from Casa do Mimo organization.

So, this is my idea and what is done at this moment. What do you think about it? Please, any suggestions and content donations will be appreciated.

Thanks for your attention and I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Kind regards,
Nuno Andr
