Strange!

Not too strange if a couple of yearly prepaids used up their credits in the second half of that month.

SpaceStockFootage, can you tell how are your 4k sales on MA comparing to other sites?

And do you send 4k video in hd size as well (2 sizes as 2 separate submissions?) or do you send just one size (and which one)?

Interesting thread and thank you for sharing your experience in such a detailed way.
Could you please develop on their upload system? It sounds like the one in Videohive, in which case it is a gigantic NO for me

It's kind of similar. You have to zip your files and you have to create a preview video. No need to create a thumbnail like VideoHive. You also have to set the resolution, frame rate and codec. VideoHive you have to set the resolution, frame rate, codec and duration.

It's a bit of a pain. There are benefits to being able to upload your own preview video though, especially for After Effects project and motion graphics files. Minimal benefits for standard live-action stock footage though.

Not sure about 4K yet... nearly all the initial stuff I uploaded was 1080p. Have been uploading a lot of 4K stuff recently though, which has only been approved over the few days mainly. I did check with support though, and you just upload the highest resolution you have... so 4K, not 4K and 1080p as well. Will give an update on all my stats after one month of being there... but in the meantime, I've made $181 so far in March.

Which will go down drastically with every competitor you bring in, promoting it, haha.  ;) ;D

Nevertheless, good numbers. Seems like it's more of a motion graphics/AE place than pure footage.

Been there for a while. It has good and bad points. As soon as files get older than a month or 2 sales dramatically go down. Only new sales sell well (uploaded within a month).
You have to keep uploading fresh content to get the regular sales.

Before this thread new motion graphic or video clip was in a 1-10 clip waiting list.
Now the waiting list is 350+

Wow this thread has driven more contributors so sales will become less and less.

Yup, at such a small site, only 10 new contributors could mean a drastic pay cut for existing members unfortunately.

If I was someone selling at that site (like Spacey), I would:

1. Delete this thread.
2. If that's not possible. Edit all posts to not say "the gold is here guys"!

But that's just me.  ;)

Unless you are the owner of the site :-)

8 month ago I worked as a author on this site, what can I say,  think carefully before uploading your products to this platform, there's no 'delete' option, you won't be able to use AdRev if you work with motion array, strange accrual system, in addition site don't give any licenses, content ID etc.. Friends say that they enter a subscription for clients, now authors won't be able to see number of downloads under product. Opaque company

Hello,

My name is Eri Levin and I am one of the founders of Motion Array. I wanted to address the comment above from Edward. I am not sure what the intention is. Edward is entitled to an opinion, but not to his own facts. First, you can absolutely delete your files from Motion Array... this is easy to do from "My Account" and if Edward ever had a problem with anything we have an expanding support team ready to help out if he had a problem or concern.

You can absolutely see the revenue generated by your products. It's updated every hour. It is true that you can't see per product revenue but this is in the works. We are a small team and we do not have the same resources as other big markets. In our terms of service, we explain why we don't like Adrev or other content ID systems.

But more importantly, we never forced Edward to be part of Motion Array. Our current system has its limitations but we now have over 1,000 authors from all over the world who are quite happy with their sales. I get that he did not have a good experience with us. This is accurate. The rest is not.
