They also (last Oct) I think it was threatened contributors with a "Take it or leave it" new agreement - which basically expanded their "rights" for the assets. They made a big hoopla about "increased sales for contributors"... if there have been (there probably have) - it seems they've simply pocketed the difference with the expanded rights they granted themselves (i.e., so they can double/triple the price/etc they charge), and have not passed on any "increased sales" to contributors - at least none that I am aware of.

Does anyone sell photos on this site? How is the income?

They sent to the contributors a Happy New Year cut on 01.01.2025. Its the second cut in 3 years. The first one was when the new owners took over. We had a zoom call with the new owners then and they assured us that everything will be as before......well not really. After they took over they started calculating the earnings differently so it resulted in 30-50% down. Now on February 15 we will see what is the damage this time. In fact there is a nice discussion on reddit and linkedin that can shed light to your question. You can see part of that zoom call and what they say :)

Interesting thread, thanks! Yes - the isralie company that acquired them seem to be liars, and instead focusing on stuffing their own pockets. I don't upload there any more because it is a waste of time.
Are you sure this is an Israeli company? I read that Artgrid bought them.

Did you upload videos or photos there?

Yes, it's in their license agreement, + there have been some interviews with them - just saw one someone posted (don't recall if it was this thread or somewhere else)

If I remember correctly, the Motionarray agency was created by ordinary stockers. And in a few years, this agency began to bring in good income. Stockers need to create another agency like this.

We need an Union. Till then we can only guess which agency is next to bring us the "exiting news".

Actually since the "good news" e-mail where they were promising more sales (maybe just to themselves) - about 20-30% less as well.

What are your plans? Will you upload more content to this stock?

For 10 days in March I have seen a very strong decrease in the number of downloads of my videos. What statistics does anyone have for this period?

? ? ?

Is there anyone here who sells videos on Motionarray. What are your statistics on the number of downloads in March? Worse than in February and January or not?
From my portfolio, I can say that Motionarray somehow artificially reduces the number of downloads, because this has never happened before.

My PDF statements and the amounts on my insight dashboard aren't matching up this year.  Seems like they're fiddling with stuff, but didn't they say it would take a few months to work out the new system?

Yes, they said that. But it worries me. You see the number of downloads of your videos for 13 days in March, in your opinion is this the usual number of downloads for this period for you or less than before?

1.111 downloads as of 12 March.  3.347 downloads in February.  Mine seems on-track.

479 downloads so far... 1,173 last month. Estimated downloads for March based on current figures... pretty much exactly the same as February.

Compared to January and February, my downloads have decreased by 25%. But in January and February, the downloads were higher than in most months of 2024. In general, it depends on which month you compare with. Compared to March 2024, the downloads have not decreased.
True, I have now stopped uploading videos to Motionarray, maybe this has some effect.

In any case, their new royalty scale greatly reduces the income of authors. To get a royalty of 30%, you need to have 4500 downloads, I doubt that there are authors who have so many downloads at least in the middle of the month.
They also promised to pay money for the video if it is in the top, maybe someone received this money.

At the moment I don't want to upload a new video to this stock, it's like working for free. But maybe this leads to a drop in downloads for me.

Maybe its time to revive the Stock Coalition. The FB group already has nearly 6,000 members, which is a solid starting point. Theres also a small community of Motion Array artists and another of Envato artists on Discord who would hopefully join in as well. Some of them have even expressed a willingness to take care of the website and its maintenance. We just need the most capable among us to step up and help get this initiative back on track, like before.

Hello my friend! Tell me the link to the discord I would like to join the Authors.
