Right, as it stands i've been in stock for about 2 years, i don't tend to shoot specifically with stock in mind, its my hobby so i shoot what i enjoy but its always a plus when i can make a bit on the side to fill the car with fuel for new trips or buy new gear...

I started off being exclusive on dreamstime then left a few months later to try with the highly regarded shutterstock where i am making a payout every 2 months with 700 photos and not making much at all on dreamstime with over 1000 photos

Now, i have 1000's of untouched photos which i am gradually sifting through and editing (over 1tb) but before i start on those do you think i should start uploading to the likes of istock photo, fotolia, depositphoto, 123 etc?

how do peoples sales fair to those of shutterstock? and also how strict is their reviewing process, i think i got about half accepted on shutterstock than i did on dreamstime...

I don't make as much on other sites as I did on SS but that's vastly changing in recent months.

I can only tell you my experiences.  I make payout a SS nearly every month, DT 3-6 months, DP & FT 3-4 months, BS 6 months or more.  All my ports vary in size with what's been accepted.  And all of this is just when I reach the minimum threshold.

Some accept nearly everything that I throw at them others sometimes reject a few or the whole lot.  I haven't uploaded anything since late July so I don't know how new images are fairing.  I know SS is having bugs with new images appearing and disappearing as well as keywords not showing up and other various things going on.

You're not really going to know for yourself unless you give the ones you're interested in a shot.

What works best for one person or group of people won't necessarily work for others. You just need to decide where your line is as to which agencies you can personally  tolerate, submit to them and move on from there.

Things change so fast that what works /doesn't work now may have changed in three or six months' time.

Good luck.

For me most work after a shooting is PS cleanup, keywording, titles, descriptions etc. When that work is done I think it would be foolish not to upload/submit even to a very low earner as long as submitting to a particular site doesn't take too much time. Then, of course, you might want to keep certain photos from the micros and sell them exclusively on your own (Symbiostock) site or RM through Alamy/macros for strategic reasons. But that's a whole different story...
