I liked it too, watched another one as well, and then subscribed! Looking forward to more great tips, because I know from long, loooong personal experience, even an old dog can learn new tricks. :D

Thanks, Raul.

We two old dogs can hobble along together!  :D :D :D

Actually, I already have a few sign photos from parks, etc, in my portfolio. But I tend to forget to shoot them locally. And since I live in a charming, popular tourist town (Santa Fe, NM), there are lots of sign-shooting opportunities around here.

The best tip in your video (for me, at least) is to submit them as editorial if they get rejected for "trademarked art." That has happened to me a few times, but I never thought to resubmit as editorial. Can you guess what I'll be doing in the next couple of days?

Here are a few that made it onto AS:

I was in Santa Fe in 2019, stayed a couple days after the Balloon Fiesta.  Loved it there!  I also got a few nice sign pics - plenty in your beautiful artsy town.  I have 2 travel videos from Santa Fe so check them out as well. Go Editorial!  :D

Thanks for those links. I'll check 'em out tomorrow.

And I just added a few links of my own sign shots to my post right above. The first one is from Santa Fe, and it has sold a lot across all my stock sites.

Speaking of signs, this one sold for just over $8 on SS...apparently it's the location of where the Great Fire of London in 1666 begun...

Some good info in your channel, impressed at the level of details and thought process provided.
I didn't know agencies may accept the same image with different crop ratios.

Indeed I have had some success with signs for stock photography. I just need to concentrate more on capturing them. To often I'm into the the visual scene or landmark and not into the identification and location detail. Thanks for posting your reminder.

Thanks! I've been lucky with the acceptance of cropped versions. Thanks for subscribing to my channel.  :)

Yes, it's easy to forget what's right in front of us and often a good seller.  Hope you subscribed to my channel.  :)
