What I have seen with the Removu is if you are outdoors the video is pretty good. Clearly good enough for Stock. The few clips I have uploaded have been accepted. If you are in a indoors in a low light area it has a lot of noise and poor saturation. Just the fact you can carry it around and not have the look of a big camera is cool.
Yep, I liked that toy!I had returned it, waiting for the new osmo, but thinking I might go back and get it - because the osmo has lots of 'focus pumping' (which ruins shots), whereas I very rarely noticed that with the RemovU! Only thing is 4K video quality wasn't that great for the removu.
Oh thanks, I begged for anyone the SS forum to review their OSMO, especially one guy who said he was buying one in Dec. and if the least problem is focus pumping, NO WAY, I'd never want one. I could put up with less than perfect and small issues, but if it's like the Nikon Keymission 80 which I owned and sold because it had focus pumping or racking or whatever other names it might be, like searching and inconsistent, I don't want one.

They recently did add AFS (as opposed to AFC - which caused the pumping) - but then - although now I no longer got the pumping - I found I was getting blurry shots...I also found that (ironically) even though it is/was supposed to be a stablizer - if I was holding it in my hand and a subject was relatively close to me (i.e., say 10-15 feet away) - the subject would 'bounce' up and down unless I put the 'stabilizer' on an even surface (aka makeshift tripod)...So, it's really only great for long focus landscape shots/videos, OR - if you want to carry around a super compact camera with you. If you get any subjects walking across your FOV while doing a video, or you do a pan and there are significant variances in distance of objects - you'll get the focus pumping...I found the RemovU (which I may consider repurchasing, even though it is a lot bulkier/larger) - was better at keep a fairly even/consistent shot for pans/etc with different distanced objects. And if I recall correctly - it didn't go haywire as soon as someone walked across your FOV.
4K action camera, narrow field of view, so I'm not shooting with the wide or fisheye effect or view. Anyone? Thanks for a clue. Needs to be weather resistant action camera since it will be outdoors remote, without being attended or access for hours. Weather changes in minutes in the Mid-West. Maybe mounted something like this taking time-lapse.

Shooting wide and applying lens correction in post is not that much time consuming, assuming for 30-60 second clips or timelapses again stretched to 30-60 seconds. Rendering some color correction or grading takes much more time and resources! As for weatherproof gear, if this helps, I use and if I may suggest (as it can be found used or new low priced FeiyuTech WG2. Tested in both salt and non salt water, rain and diving in non-salt water for longer period of time. It can perform moving timelapses and seems sturdy. Bad things are, so and so App to control or change parameters and non exchangeable batteries.Separating gimbal from camera have some advantages. Camera can be used individually, can be replaced, and of course upgraded to a newer model with more capabilities Ok, can be also destroyed but still having a usable gimbal
What do you use to correct the super wide effect? Here's why I want a narrower field of view.
